Limit on Withdrawals

There is a limit for Withdrawals Online of €1000. If you need to Transfer a larger amount please visit our office and we can arrange this for you.

Our credit union is for people, not for profit!

We are a financial co-operative that provides savings and loan facilities for the benefit of our members.

As a co-operative, we are owned and controlled by our members, each of whom has one vote (once aged 16 or over) - regardless of how much or how little they have saved.

How do I Join?

To be eligible for membership of Firhouse Credit Union you must be living or working within our common bond area.

To open an account you’ll need the following:

  • Photo ID - Passport or EU Drivers Licence
  • Proof of Address - Utility Bill or Bank Statement (Dated within the last 3 months)
  • PPSN - (Payslip / P60 / DPS Card / E111 Card) - We cannot accept a Public Services Card as proof of PPSN or Identity.
  • Minimum of €12 to be lodged to open account.
To open a child's account (Under 16)-:
  1. Parent's Proof of Address (Dated within the last 3 months)
  2. Parent's Proof of ID
  3. Child's Birth Certificate
  4. Documentation proving child's PPSN
(Children over 7years of age are required to sign their own membership forms and for any withdrawals)
Our Credit Union lets people in the community come together to save and borrow money at low rates, and is operated on a not-for-profit basis, with surpluses being returned to members.

New Member Applications ( and re-opening of accounts) will be by appointment only.
